External
The External Walk-On Rooflight is ideal for spaces requiring pedestrian access, like roof terraces. They are strong, safe and aesthetically pleasing where transparency and light are needed.
Description
Our Walk-On Rooflights are flush-fitting glass panels that maintain the function of the floor whilst allowing the illumination of the room below with an abundance of natural light. Available as a single panel for standalone use or as part of a multi-panel modular system used for larger areas. Should you require more privacy, a range of obscure glass finishes are available.
They combine technology and safety to provide a perfect solution for those needing to enhance the light in the interior below, but also ensuring the floor remains safe for people to walk on. We make sure our Walk-On Rooflights surpass all the latest regulations, giving you peace of mind.
As with all our products; the skylight, roof window or rooflight of your choice can be made to match your exact requirements.
A fixing kit is supplied with these items, which will include all fixings needed for installation.
Walk-On Rooflight Tech Spec
With walk-on rooflights the glass specification is determined by the size & loading requirements, so has to be specified on ordering. You could also upgrade the automatically specified glass to include other relevant finishes ie. non-slip, opaque etc.
Manufactured from 6063-T6 aluminium profile, thermally broken with 32mm polyamide insulation sections to prevent cold bridging and stop condensation. The frames are dual colour, coated with marine grade polyester powder coating; supplied in dark grey (RAL 7015) externally and white (RAL 9010) internally, as standard. They come factory glazed, as one unit for ease of installation, for the best easy to fit solution include our Upstand which will give you the correct fall angle required.
NOTE: A fixing kit is supplied with these items, which will include all fixings needed for installation.

Walk-On Rooflight Bespoke Optional Extras
Solar Control Coating - helps to prevent the build up of heat during hot summer months. The coating reflects the heat from the sun back to the outside of the glass keeping the interior cooler in the summer months, and significantly reduces the amount of heat that is able to pass in through your rooflight providing you with a more comfortable and useable living space.
Self Cleaning Glass - uses the forces of nature to maintain a cleaner and clearer appearance. In a dual-action process organic dirt is broken down by daylight and is then washed away by rain, thus making it environmentally friendly and very easy to maintain.
Diffused Privacy Interlayer - provides increased levels of privacy and glare reduction through diffusion of the incoming light. The translucent glass combines privacy with safety and security
External Colour - the frames are dual colour, coated with marine grade polyester powder coating; supplied in dark grey (RAL 7015) externally and white (RAL 9010) internally, as standard. If you would prefer an alternative external colour you can upgrade your rooflight and then choose the external colour you would like from our RAL colour chart.
Triple Glazing - Triple glazing is also available as a bespoke option and can provide a warmer, quieter and more secure glazing option, if required. As well as providing more insulation, the extra layer of glass helps to reduce the amount of unwanted noise entering your home from outside and makes the window harder to break, giving you a greater degree of security.
